Today’s recipe is a brand new one that I made up just this morning. It is adapted from an old recipe that incorporated a couple of cans of “cream of” soups that neither of my kids will touch. SO, I revamped the recipe to use ingredients that my kids will actually like, and we were all pleasantly surprised at the results. One of my boys actually said, “Can I have more? This stuff is really delicious!” Try it for yourself and let me know what your family thinks:

A co-worker recently brought me a card for Administrative Assistant’s Day, along with a $20 gift card for Hy-Vee. I’m not an administrative assistant, but I wasn’t about to look a gift horse in the mouth. So I took my gift card and headed off to find the nearest Hy-Vee.
I’d never shopped at a Hy-Vee store before, and let me just say… that place makes me feel POOR! They have tons of great stuff in there that I’ll probably never be able to afford. But I did find a great 5 for $20 meat deal that the cashier told me they run all the time. This might turn out to be a blessing, as I’m often disgusted by the high price and low quality of the meat selection at Aldi’s where I get most of my groceries and the Wal-Mart where I grab the few things I can’t find at Aldi’s.
