Is it getting cold in here? That’s one sentence you don’t usually hear out of my mouth. Usually it’s, “Is it hot in here, or is it just me?” (Because… hot flashes, ya’ll!) So you know it’s getting cold in here for real if I’m complaining about it!
My scrawny teenage son is always complaining about the cold in his bedroom. For some reason, his room gets colder than any other room in our house. I’ve also noticed that our living room doesn’t hold heat very well. I’m not carpenter, and I’m the Poor Mum herself, so I went in search of a few simple, yet cheap ways to keep out the chill. Does your employer offer a match on your retirement contributions? Do they offer tuition reimbursement? If they do, and you’re not taking advantage of these benefits, then you are just throwing money away!

I used to be as guilty as any for buying books on Amazon because 1. They are so cheap, 2. I don’t have to leave my house, and 3. They save all my credit card information, so all it takes is a click of the button, and my next read is on its way to my front door. I applaud Amazon for their business tactics. They got me. They are great! However, what looks like a couple of books here and there added up to hundreds of dollars a year! |
