Remember, poor mums: It’s not really a deal if you end up letting it go to waste!
Anyway, I was about to make myself late for work, so I pulled out the bottle of teriyaki sauce and poured it over the roast in the crockpot. Then I threw the lid on it and ran out the door. I probably forgot my cell phone that day. That’s just how I roll.
When I got home that evening, I opened a can of green beans and drained them. Then I mixed them into the falling-apart beef and hot teriyaki sauce and left them to heat up while I cooked some rice in my rice cooker. (I LOVE my rice cooker. If you add a couple of tablespoons of butter to your rice, it’s the best!)
By the time the rice was ready, the beans were too. I scooped up a couple of bowls of rice and poured the beef and beans on top. Dinner was ready with very little effort, and it was delicious! Next time I find a good teriyaki sauce recipe, I actually have something to use it for!
