I love this time of year. I've been picking veggies like a mad woman this past week; canning and freezing... and eating! I now have jars of homemade salsa and chili base, as well as a couple of big bags of fresh green beans that just went into my freezer about a half hour ago. My favorite so far is the fresh salsa. I'm waiting for more tomatoes to ripen so I can make a big bowl and eat it all by myself with a bag of crispy Tostitos tortilla chips. Yum! Here's my recipe: Fresh Homemade Salsa My homemade salsa tastes a little different each and every time I make it because I don't measure my ingredients. I just chop the veggies up to the desired consistency and flavor to taste. It's as easy as that! If you want your homemade salsa to taste as good as mine did this past weekend, just chop up your veggies and toss them together until it looks like the picture above.
