You might find this hard to believe, but it turns out that good old Windex works better on tough grease than any other cleaner I have tried. And it doesn't have to be the name brand glass cleaner, either. Any generic blue glass cleaner that is comparable to Windex will work just as well. This took very little effort on my part. All I did was spray the filter and then let it sit for a minute. Then I did a quick scrub with a stainless steel scrubber just to hit the in-between spots and then rinsed with hot water.
While the filter dried, I sprayed down the rest of the range hood and then wiped it down with paper towels, and we were good to go! Blue glass cleaner is now my go-to cleaning product for cleaning up grease in my kitchen! |
